Jail vs. Prison

I often hear that prison is harder than jail. In some aspects this is correct. But in an overall basis of the two jail is much harder than prison. Most people think that prison would be harder because people do longer time in prison. This is by far one of the things that inmates can care less about. After about a month or so the average inmate gets institutionalized which is when the time gets easier. You are probably asking how I know. I know because I have been working for the Walker County Sheriffs office for about a year now. On the other hand prison has so much more to offer such as better food and education. At my jail we feed the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday. In the year that I have been working there every inmate that I come in contact with tells me "man Flores I can not wait to got to TDC and get out of this hell hole!!" So with all that said prison has nothing on jail!!
